Seeking Psyche : Exploring the Myth of Demeter and Psyche

A monthly program of immersion to the mysteries within. It can be hard to make time for the soulwork required to replenish to support Psyche.

This program will use the myth of Demeter and Persephone as the ground of our exploration. We will embark on a symbolic journey to the mother-daughter mysteries at the heart of our own lives, and inquire about what this myth can offer us today.

Over the course of five months we will explore what it means:

  • To lose what is most precious to us and wander the earth, inconsolable with grief, as Demeter

  • To be dragged into the Underworld by Hades, cut off from everything we have known and loved, as Kore

  • To bear witness to the anguish of Demeter and Kore at the crossroads of two worlds, as Hecate

  • To return from the Underworld transformed as Persephone

During this workshop we will enter the realm of soulwork through myth, ritual, dreamwork, writing, movement, poetry and readings.

One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.
